Television is often referred to as an idiot box but the revolution in bringing the world under one roof and families in one room was remarkable. World television day was observed by the students of the Virtual Media Stations; SAI TV and Radio Orange club on November 21, 2018.
In December 1996 the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed November 21 as World Television Day commemorating the date on which the first World Television Forum was held in 1996. The club members prepared to celebrate this day with a special video on the important role of Television. The video showed the slow and steady revolution that the TV has brought about into the world.
Ever since John Logie Baird invented television, the world has come closer and with the phones it has shrunk into a global village, it was a stepping stone for the other inventions to follow like the computer and the mobile.
