SAI celebrates a family event “Art from the Heart”

I want to touch people with my art. I want them to say “he feels deeply, he feels tenderly”. – Vincent Van Gogh

Welcome to SAI Family with “Art from Heart”! It was conducted on a virtual platform on Saturday, February 20, 2021 for our SAIoneers. Around 500+ families participated in the event, creating magic with their collective minds and hands. The topic was “Family Bonding” to help children understand the importance of preserving the environment and learn about sustainability.  As we are constantly looking for ways to foster curiosity and a love of learning in our children, regardless of ability or history we have witnessed flagging off the highly successful and engaging event. With 21stcentury skills building we were left with a positive note that our students were constructive engaged. Our goal to keep fostering resilient, healthy minds were well realized, hence why not unleash our feelings by constantly creating art?

A healthy parental bonding time positively leads to a happy childhood and eventually to a positive emotional development, which makes a child grow up to be a mentally strong and responsible person. Parental involvement in the activities of their children strengthens the parent-child bonding and brings a positive impact on the social, emotional and academic development of the child. SAI International School has always believed in partnering with parents to forge strong bonds thus enhancing a balance in the developmental process of students. Every year various activities are organized to involve the family members of SAIoneers to enhance the family bonding even further. Ever since the event, Art from Heart was announced our young artists had chalked out in imagination drawing inspirational images and ready to create it all in real, with the result for us all to see through Virtual Platform, from the comfort of homes.

“Art from the Heart” is one such attempt to salute and reinforce the spirit of togetherness, Dr. Bijaya Kumar Sahoo was delighted to see the creations and on occasion stated, “The purpose of art is not to simply please yes, art inspires our SAIoneers to be lost in the world of colours. Our school, learners and parents truly lives by these words.” He also added “As the  world still goes to war with post-COVID times, let us all be drenched in work of palm printing and hand paintings, paper crafts strung together in strengthen in our bonding within our families.” He was very happy to see all the creative family nameplates, palm painting on t-shirts, posters and also fancy wind chimes with family pictures. This was a step taken to help children imbibe enjoying quality family time well spent together.
