SIRS Conducted the 5th Founders’ Day

5th Founders’ Day was celebrated with great grandeur and pomp on December 19 & 20, 2022, on the theme of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The Athletic meet set the mood day for the celebrations to follow. The morning started with a humble welcome to the Chief Guest Shri Mamun Ur Rashid, Deputy Inspector General, CISF KRTC, Mundali, who declared the meet open. The Chief Guest was given the ceremonial guard of honour by the synchronised marching Houses. The March Past showcased the discipline and focus of the SAIoneers marching.  The crisp commands, the zeal and enthusiasm of the students showed how close they have come to being working in perfect symphony.  

While addressing the audience Shri Rashid emphasized on how sports and games are the integral part of learning and plays a vital role in the success of a students’ life.  Track and field events along with aerobics and yoga drills were demonstrated at the sports meet of the SIRS Founders' Day on December 19, 2022. 110 mtrs hurdles, 110 mtrs race boys and girls, relay races boys and girls, 400 mtrs boys and girls final races were conducted at the grand sports stadium. 

Aladdin the mesmerizing English play was the show stopper of the day 1 of festivities. The most colorful and enchanting play revolved around the theme ‘think before making a wish’. The students enacted the play immaculately with an Oscarian feel to it.

The 2 Day conclave of the 5th Founders’ Day ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, concluded with cultural event and academic excellence award distribution in amidst Shri Pravata Kumar Tripathy, Former MLA (Banki) for the students. Shri Tripathy presented the academic excellence awards to the SAIoneers and the Founders Trophy (In the memory of Founder Chairman SAI International late Dr. Bijaya Kumar Sahoo) to the leading house in both academics and extracurricular activities. Chakra House was the winner of the Founders Trophy for 2022. The entire fraternity along with the students took an Oath of Allegiance to abide by the vision of the Founder and take the legacy of excellence to higher orders.

While addressing the students he congratulated the School was happy to see SIRS grow manifolds in size and stature. He said, “It gives me joy in saying that the dream envisioned by Founder-Chairman, Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo to spread quality education and nurture leaders of the future come to life by his endeavors.”

While remembering the Founder – Chairman Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo, Headmaster SIRS, Shri Amitabh Agnihotri said,” Such activities foster a sense of confidence, creativity, communication and collaboration skills essential for the 21st century. By encouraging the children to participate in activities outside of the classroom, we as a school are giving them a route to develop new interests, and deepen their social and intellectual growth, which are the pillars of the society. It is our extreme duty to nurture children academically, spiritually, physically, emotionally, and socially.”

At the joyous moment, Chairperson, SAI International Dr. Silpi Sahoo said, “SAI International is a grooming ground for future leaders and we enable the children to bring out their best talent. Our Founder Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo has shown the way to 360 degree holistic development of children and we are walking on his laid path. Our students have excelled in all fields be it academics or sports. Children of SAI International are known for their academic excellence and ethical values and I wish them all the best for their future.”
