SAIoneers from Class IV to VIII kicked off their thrilling six-day educursion to Chail from 12-17 May 2024. The trip aims to provide students with exposure & experiences beyond the classroom, fostering leadership skills and a deeper understanding of teamwork and adventure.
On the first day, the adventure troop from Class IV to VIII gathered for final instructions and photographs. After a clear and important briefing, the group settled into the bus and headed to the airport. The flight departed as scheduled and landed in Delhi. Upon arrival, the Climb Up Camp team picked up the group and transported them to their hotel in Delhi. After checking in, everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch and rested for an hour. The next destination was the Akshardham Temple. The students formed a line to view an exhibition about the history of Swami Narayan, followed by an impressive light and water show. The coordination between light and water was mesmerizing. They also experienced a boat ride that showcased various aspects of Indian culture and the achievements of Indian people in ancient times.
The second day began early with the group waking up and having breakfast at the hotel. They packed their luggage, checked out, and boarded the bus, anticipating their arrival in Chail by night. The 12-hour journey from Delhi was filled with fun, snacks, and conversations with their parents. The group stopped for lunch at McDonald's along the way. They arrived in Chail in the evening, checked into the camp, and settled into their rooms. After freshening up, they enjoyed evening snacks and a bonfire with hot soup, followed by a briefing on camp activities. The day concluded with dinner and rest, looking forward to the adventures ahead.
On Day 3, students at the camp woke up early for a morning trek after warm-up activities. They returned by 8:00 am, had breakfast, and then split into two groups: Green Warriors and Pirates. Each group created its symbol, elected a leader, and designed a flag. The day was filled with adventure activities like Zip Lining, Wall Climbing, and HRC. After a hearty meal and a short rest, they enjoyed Samba Music, followed by snacks and a DJ night. The day concluded with a delicious dinner, phone calls, and bedtime, anticipating more fun ahead. The students look forward to an enriching experience in terms of leadership, collaboration & stepping out of their comfort zone in the days to come.
