Students of SIRS observed the International Day of Charity on September 10, 2019. It was declared that September 5 will be the day for charity by the United Nations Organization in 2012. September 5 was chosen to commemorate the death anniversary of Saint Mother Teresa.
The Purpose of International Day for Charity
The key purpose of the International Day of Charity is create an awareness and endow with a common platform for charity related activities all over the world for individuals, philanthropists and volunteer organizations for their own purposes on the local, national, regional and international level.
At SIRS
Students of Symphony Club held a special assembly to discuss about the importance of International Day for Charity. As charity is simply an extension of joy, happiness and sharing of that joy and happiness with others, bringing about smiles on the faces is real humanity. The club played a beautiful, short video on the Nirmal Hriday, a house for the destitute and sick.

SIRS believes in spreading happiness around. To live up to the SIRS objectives the school observes International Days laid down by the UNO.
