International Yoga Day was observed in SAI International School virtually on Tuesday June 21, 2015.
Students across grades participated in the virtual International Yoga day as the teachers began the session after the morning assembly. It was a delight to see the Primary students participating too. Senior students exhibited asanas online, had prepared and presented power point presentations within their class, discussing the multiple benefits of incorporating Yoga in everyday life. Few had made posters and shared their speeches with their classmates. During the virtual event, few fitness and well being conscious parents too had joined in the live sessions.
Yoga is an integral part of the calendar of activities at the School throughout out the year, as part of our efforts to inculcate in students the appreciation of and respect for India’s rich heritage and diversity, and also to reinforce in them national pride and respect. This ancient form of holistic healing got a formal recognition by the United Nations General Assembly on December 11, 2014.
